Year 2010. My fifth wine, blend of 33% sangiovese, 33% syrah, 33% merlot, percentage that may vary every year, aged foa a full year in french barriques. It represents my top expression and my concept of a great wine. It is the outcome of a very carefull selection of the best barrel of every variety than are blended in order to express at top level the potentiality of the company.
At sight the wine is ruby-red; when smelled, it is very complex and intense expressing prevailing notes of black berries anc cherries, together with delicate notes of sweet oak combined with sensations reminding of tobacco and peat. When tasted, it shows a firm body, enveloping, and the ripe expression, balancing from fruit to minerality as blackcurrante anc cherry interat with graphite, is expanded by the sapidity wich gives also a long presistance ending with a clear note of toasted almond and very smooth tannins.
